Teams must participate in at least one remote scrimmage in early 2021. Remote scrimmages will be scheduled in January and February. Participating in a remote scrimmage will give coaches, teams and event coordinators an opportunity to test and familiarize themselves with the Remote Event Hub and its operation prior to the Mississippi RePlay Remote Championship Tournament. remote EVENT INFORMATION
Mississippi FIRST® LEGO® League teams will compete in the Remote Event Hub during the RePlay season.
There will be two types of events: scrimmages and a single Championship.
Any team participating in a scrimmage is guaranteed a spot in the Championship.
Remote scrimmages will be scheduled in late January to mid-February 2021.
To participate in a remote event, all the team members and coaches must have electronically signed consent and release forms in the system otherwise they will be unable to register. - no exceptions
In addition, coaches must have completed the Youth Protection Screening in order to have access to the Remote Event Hub.
Remote Scrimmages will not have awards, but the robot scores of participating teams will be posted.
Remote events will require teams to upload videos of a practice robot match; 3 official robot matches; an Innovation Project presentation (5 minutes max); Robot Design Video (5 minutes max); Team Introduction video (2 minutes max).
The first video uploaded by a team will be the practice robot match. Official Robot Matches should not be submitted until the Head Referee has reviewed the practice match and provided feedback on it.
Teams will upload videos several weeks in advance of scrimmage and Championship dates.
